Math Masters Unite: Strategies for Paper 3 in DP HL Mathematics

If you teach HL Mathematics, you're likely familiar with the unique challenges presented by Paper 3. How do we effectively prepare our students for an exam with unspecified content? How can we ensure fair assessment after we've used up all the past paper questions? When is the optimal time to begin preparing students for this critical component and how do we do it? In this collaborative session, we will engage in meaningful discussions to share best practices, insights from the IB, and expertise from seasoned educators.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
+ Explore Effective Strategies: Begin with discussions and analyses of various approaches to teaching Paper 3, including problem-solving techniques and exam strategies.
+ Resource Sharing: Exchange valuable resources, materials, and tools that can enhance preparation for Paper 3
+ Focus on Collaborative Question Development: The majority of our time will be dedicated to working together to create a set of Paper 3 questions. This collaborative effort will mean that you leave with practical Paper 3 assessments ready for your classrooms.
