In this session, educators will explore strategies for understanding and responding to both individual student behavior and group dynamics within the classroom. The first half will focus on understanding the science of individual human behavior, as well as covering some common misconceptions. Educators will gain insight into behavior functions and explore evidence-based strategies such as shaping, priming, and task analysis.

The second half of the session will shift focus to understanding group behavior, where educators will learn how to foster a positive classroom environment. Strategies will be explored to support a more collaborative and productive classroom community. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with a well-rounded toolkit for addressing both individual and group behavior as well as a better understanding of the science of behavior in general.
